New Director of Development

In January, Janet Hedrick joined the Radiation Oncology Institute staff as Director of Development. Ms. Hedrick has over three decades of fundraising experience including over twenty years in health care development work at various hospitals and health systems. Most recently, Ms. Hedrick was the Director of Development for the School Nutrition Foundation, the nonprofit organization aligned with the membership organization for school nutrition professionals, the School Nutrition Association. Ms. Hedrick has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary Washington, where she graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and she has a Masters of Education from the University of Virginia. Ms. Hedrick lives in Alexandria, Virginia and is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Association Foundation Group (AFG). Ms. Hedrick is the author of the book, Effective Donor Relations, a volume in the Nonprofit Essentials series, published by AFP and Wiley.
