Race for Research by Running the ROI 5K

Everyone can be a champion in the ROI 5K—a champion for radiation oncology research. Because all registration fees and sponsorships go directly to the Radiation Oncology Institute, when you participate in the ROI 5K you are helping to support research and education programs dedicated to heightening the critical role of radiation therapy in the treatment of cancer.

Join hundreds of attendees at ASTRO 2017 in San Diego for the 8th Annual Running Strong 5K Run for the Future to Benefit the ROI on Monday, September 25. The event brings together attendees, exhibitors and family members to run or walk a scenic course with views of beautiful San Diego Bay. Participants also enjoy post-race refreshments and an awards ceremony to recognize the fastest male and female runners as well as the winners of the Academic and Corporate Team Challenges.

Forming a team is easy—all you need is a minimum of three people from the same academic institution or company to register for the ROI 5K. While both challenges give you the chance to earn a trophy and bragging rights, academic institutions also compete for a $1,000 donation to their scholarship fund.

So, whether you register as an individual or as a member of a team, be a part of one of the liveliest and most fun events at all of ASTRO, the ROI 5K! Together, we can make a difference for the future of radiation oncology by investing in research to improve safety and quality, demonstrate the value of radiation therapy and enhance patient outcomes.

For more information about the ROI 5K and to register, visit www.roi5k.com. Race registration will also be available on site at ASTRO 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24 at race host Radiation Business Solutions' booth (#2425) in the Innovations and Solutions Showcase.
