Residents Racing for Research
The Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) and the Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) are growing their partnership to advance radiation oncology research. The ROI regularly supports residents pursuing research with grants and sponsors free webinars for residents, including ARRO’s new Meet Me in Treatment Planning series. This year, ARRO has joined in support of the 9th Annual 5K Run for the Future to benefit the ROI by organizing a team of runners for the race on Monday morning of the ASTRO Annual Meeting in San Antonio. The team will consist of residents from across the country and will compete with the various academic teams in the race. If the ARRO team wins the Academic challenge, the institution of the resident runner with the best time will receive the $1,000 scholarship available in the Academic Challenge.
