Celebrating New Founders’ Circle Members

Thank you to the individuals who have made or renewed a generous pledge to the ROI this year.

Thanks to the support of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, in 2017 the ROI funded promising investigators conducting ground-breaking research, awarded our first ever Publication Awards and launched a new app. These accomplishments were only made possible by people like you who have decided to give back to help push the field of radiation oncology forward.

This year, you helped us to sustain exciting research projects exploring how big data, smart phones and activity trackers can be used to improve outcomes for cancer patients receiving radiation therapy. The RadOnc Toolbox app that hundreds of you have downloaded and are using is the product of an ROI-funded research project to develop a resource for best practices on toxicity management.

Thanks to your generosity, the ROI recently announced a new funding opportunity for research on topics that you helped us to identify as some of the most important areas of need for radiation oncology. We are looking forward to seeing all the great ideas that will be submitted and sharing the names of the award winners with you in the spring.

We hope you will help us maintain our momentum into 2018 and beyond by giving back to the field that has given you so much and making a donation to the ROI today.

The season of giving is a wonderful time to recognize someone special in your life – a mentor, family member, friend or colleague – by making a tax-deductible gift in their honor. They will receive a personalized card announcing your gift to radiation oncology research and recognition on the ROI’s website.

Thank you for your commitment to the ROI and best wishes for the holiday season and New Year!
